My daughter gave me a hug at bedtime today and said, "I love you Mommy. I'm going to miss you when I'm sleeping".
I'm sorry...but is that not the sweetest darn thing you have ever heard?? I often miss her at bedtime too...so I sneak in and watch her sleep, kiss her forehead and sometimes snuggle up with her. Every once in a while she stirs and smiles at me. Once she said, "Oh, Mommy..." in the softest voice.
God I love that kid. Think I'm going to sneak in for that snuggle now. :)
